photocell ldr sensor
CDS (Cadmium Sulfide photocell)
This type of resistor value changes depending on the amount of light about him. Usually the resistor is also called LDR (Light Depend Resistor). There are so many types of these components depends on the light sensitivity, size, resistance value, etc.. In figure 6 are examples of one form of CDS photocell.
LDR (Light Dependent Resistor)
Is a type of resistor that changes its resistance due to the influence of light. When the dark light the greater the value detainees, while the brighter the light becomes smaller in value.
LDR (Light Dependent Resistor)
LDR stands for Light Dependent Resistor is a resistor that changes its resistance due to the intensity of light absorbed. LDR is also a resistor having a negative temperature coefficient, wherein the resistance is affected by light intrensitas. LDR formed from cadium Sulfied (CDS) which is generated from ceramic powders CDS.
In general, CDS also called conductive photo equipment, as long as the conductivity or resistance of CDS varies with the intensity of light.
If the received light intensity is high then the high barriers would also result in an out tengangan will also be high and vice versa is where the mechanism of the process of changing light into electricity occurs.
CDS does not have the same sensitivity at each wavelength from ultraviolet to infrared. This is called the characteristic spectrum and the response given by the manufacturer. CDS are widely used in planning a series of alternating (AC) compared denagn photo transistor and photo diode.
